It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. .” Albert Einstein 1879-1955, German-born American Physicist I grew up experiencing paranormal phenomena starting at a very young age. At the age of 26, I choose to study the paranormal on a scientific level after a very bizarre experience. Not sure if what I was experiencing in my home at the time was paranormal, I contacted Derek from CAIPRS. His group came to my house and investigated. I liked what they did and from my interest in the paranormal joined Derek’s Team.  I had a blast! Not that I wanted to leave their team but distance issues became a factor. There were no teams out my way..So back in 2002, Massachusetts Area Ghost Investigators Coalition, otherwise known as MAGIC, was born. I also want to give thanks to CAIPRS, TAPS, John Larochell, Keith and Sandra Johnson for all that they have showed and done for me. I want to give a special thanks to my group for without them MAGIC would not be possible~

BRIAN ASHLEY- SENIOR INVESTIGATOR My interest in the paranormal began at an early age. I would say it was just after my father died when I was two that I started experiencing paranormal events. I grew up wanting to know why and how they happened. I didn't want to just be scared and not understanding of how or why these things happened. I have experienced phenomena in the U.S. as well as in Germany and the former Yugoslavian republic of Bosnia. I believe that there are more than just departed souls out there and that not all "hauntings" can be attributed to a lost human soul. I am a practicing solitary Wiccan. I have been on the path of over 5 years now and it has helped my understand the world in which we live better. I am very spiritual , but that does not necessarily affect my approach to the paranormal. I believe that science has simply yet to explain everything out there and that this is the unexplained, not the unexplainable. I approach everything with an open mind but I am careful not to jump to conclusions. I believe in using the scientific method on investigations and that objectivity is crucial in this field.

LINDA DANTONIO-INVESTIGATOR I had an experience when I was nineteen years old and have been very curious as to what “caused” it ever since.  I don’t think prior to that I gave much thought to “ghosts” but certainly afterwards I found myself drawn to anomalous subjects.  Another experience was a simple “Hi” at my ear when I was outside and no one was there with me.  I could tell you that it wasn’t the wind (there wasn’t any) and that I wasn’t hearing things.  Unless something similar has happened to you, you would say that I have an active imagination.  I have seen how most people look at me when I tell of my experiences and they sometimes even comment on my imagination.  I now know there are other people out there that suffer the same humility while others choose to not deal with these experiences. “Something” caused these things to happen, however.  It’s that “something” that brings me here to MAGIC.  So much of what happens can have a natural explanation, but for what is left that has no natural or “normal” explanation is what I strive to study.  I am so happy to use my natural sense of curiosity and scientific methods to find answers whether they are very explainable and natural or aren’t.   I like to make use of these answers to help others.

SUE COLLETTE=INVESTIGATOR Paranormal research is highly important to me and since childhood; I have been wondering and searching for some kind of answers.  I credit this interest to personal experiences while staying at my grandmother’s house and also an old house I lived in as a child. I've been reading and studying more and more on the paranormal to better educate myself; I would like to find some answers as to why we hang around after we die and if how we die has anything to do with it.  Do ghosts really know what is going on around them? When I was younger there wasn’t any talk of the paranormal or ghost hunting.  I just recently have been thinking about this more and more and decided to see if there were any groups in my area that I could become a part of and learn more about the paranormal.  Thanks to Magic and Carrie’s leadership I will now be able to do that. I do think in this field you have to keep an open mind and not jump to any conclusions. Not everything that happens is paranormal and I would like to help other people who may think they have paranormal activity solve what is really going on.  Oh and not being afraid of the dark also helps.  I still have a lot to learn and I can’t wait to see what happens next
